This past Fall I learned that the Medina Garden Gals had been tending to the gardens at Medina Memorial Hospital for over 25 years and will be retiring their service this coming Spring. They would come in the Spring to clean out the gardens near our main entrance and came over bi-weekly to maintain them throughout the summer. Then in the Fall they would come by to prepare the gardens for winter. Throughout the years they have provided 100's of hours of service and that is ...worth more than words can say. I recently met with the current President of the group, Ruth Allis, to present her with a dozen flowering plants to be distributed to the current group members: Jean Benson, Shirley Bright, Jan Caleb, Barb Dunham, Linda Kozubal, Gail Miller, Mary Lou Rue, Bonnie Seelbinder, Brenda Spurling, Bev Winters, and Mary Zangerle. Mary at Creekside Floral& Design helped pick out a small flowering plant that blooms on an off all year long representing a craft that they love and will remind them of the beauty of their work throughout the year!!! With that said, if you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering to help keep our gardens alive and beautiful, then we would be very interested in partnering with you. Please contact me at (585) 798-8426 for more information. Mulch is provided and delivered, all other gardening tools are not available on site and must be supplied by the volunteer.

Early this morning a caravan of OCH employees went on a road trip to Unity Hospital in Rochester to receive the first round of COVID-19 vaccinations. They are our rockstars, our front line superheros!!! Thank you for all you do to serve our community.
