I had ordered a plugin 3 years ago from a reputable plugin developer. As the website that it was used on no longer uses that plugin, last year I had cancelled the subscription. I received an "invoice" today with the information, including the correct renewal date, which went into my spam. I did not click on any link in the email, but using my personal bookmarks went to the vendor's website and checked on my account. The account correctly said the subscription was cancelled an...d there were no invoices. Clearly someone was trying to get my personal information. Remember, NEVER click on links in any email that you are not expecting, even if the information on the surface appears to be correct. Image by Tumisu from Pixabay.
