What an awesome day at SRAC’s Public Archaeology day! Donate and help us continue our work!

As many of you know, Susan and I co-founded SRAC with two incredible people, Ted Keir and Dick Cowles. We lost Ted a few years ago at age 93 and Dick is still here going strong at 95. He actually was 7 when his dad’s excavations at Spanish Hill took place in the thirties. He was the first person I ever met that knew as much about that hill as I did, and our passion to learn more about it was the catalyst that made us create SRAC together. Over the years we have become close and tonight as I was walking my dogs around the pond I gave Dick a call. Come to find out Dick had COVID recently and is now slowly recovering. I’d like to ask all of you to say a little prayer for Dick tonight. A more genuinely intelligent and incredibly good person is hard to find. I’ve included a blog I posted about Dick years ago here.

Tonight at 10:50pm, we lost Susan after complications from an extended illness. She and I were together for 23 year and married in 2016. She was truly an amazin...g woman. Thanks to Deeanne Wymer for being here tonight with me through the final hours and to all of you who have supported me during this difficult time. A memorial service will be scheduled in the future.
