Want to make your Chocolate Chip cookies even better? Here are some tips. Tip 1: don’t overmix! Once you add the dry ingredients, mix only until flour is incorporated. Even better - mix in dry and chips by hand. Tip 2: use different types of chocolate. Of course semi-sweet chocolate chips are great, but try swapping in some for bittersweet or dark chips or chunks. Chopped chocolate (from a bar) is also a wonderful way to give you more chocolate throughout each cookie wi...th delicious melty spots. Tip 3: for thick cookies with a crisp edge and soft center, freeze your dough. Scoop large dough balls, cover and let them freeze, ideally overnight or longer. Bake from frozen, just add a minute or two to the baking time. (This is also a great way to bake a single or a few cookies at a time as needed ) Tip 4: add in a teaspoon (or three) of our Coffee Syrup! It won’t make your cookie taste like coffee, but will boost the chocolatey-ness and add that little extra deliciousness.
