While social distancing is necessary, it can also take a toll on mental health. Be sure to reach out to our free resources if you are in need and speak to a counselor at 1-844-863-9314.

https://syracuselawoffice.com/topics Divorce post Quarantine There is something that has to be said that is an unfortunate truth. After the Corona Virus shut downs and quarantines have hopefully come to an end and life returns to normal, there will be a lot of people who are absolutely ready to be divorced as part of thier new normal. There I said it. It is going to the sad fact, both personally and for society, of the post Covid-19 world. I’d prefer to think that for 99% ...Continue reading
To all clients with pending cases with our office: With the unprecedented issues surrounding the Corona Virus greatly impacting court procedures our office is making the following changes Until April 30th Unless you are contacted directly, your case in family Court will be adjourned. Only matters of Orders of Protections, Support and Neglect or Delinquency are ... being heard in family Court. If there are existing orders whether temporary or "permanent" they are the controlling. If there is an agreement in writing and a court reviews them and executes an order then that could serve to change any existing orders. If you have a federal criminal case and have a scheduled date then as of today that date shall remain on the calendar unless advised otherwise. Any in custody defendants can only conference with our office through phone or any other electronic means as it appears that the Jails in this area will not allow for in person visits. If your case is not scheduled for a specific date, even if you are in custody, it will likely not be scheduled until at least the end of april. If I am the Attorney for a child I will only be doing phone or video meetings until the schools are reopened or you are otherwise advised. If you currently have an appointment with our office please contact us to advise if you wish to reschedule or have the appointment on the phone. All matters that were in the process of being filed for such things as motions may be heard without physical appearance and upon written submission to the court. All these things may change as the courts alter or update us on the status of proceedings. Please keep in touch with us by phone or email and we will do our best to ensure that your legal needs are met and your rights protected. In the meantime make sure that your email, phone numbers and addresses are kept up to date so that you do not miss vital updates. Please follow all CDC guidelines to protect the health of yourselves and your families and be patient and respectful of each other. Christina Cagnina, Esq.
The officers testimony and the tone is something that everyone should remember.
Sorry but this is the world we live in.
This is not an endorsement.
Oddly this seems right in line with my next post.
Simple, clear and direct advice,
