Hey JKD class! Apologies, but some stuff came up, and I won't be able to do either our 20 minutes of daylight at the park, or our online Zoom class this evening. Hopefully back to normal for Thursday, and still closing in on getting to our new spot!

Supposed to be on the cool side, but sunny. See you guys at the Canal Landing Park at 1:30 for Kali! Don't forget to dress for the weather.

Hey JKD class! 5 pm and it's a little overcast, but no rain. We'll be out at Canal Landing Park for the 6pm start, and we'll go until we start losing the light. Hope to see you guys there!

So, this is late. Not a little late. This is like 7 months late. Right before a little thing called the global pandemic, we were getting ready to schedule a black sash test in JKD for Sija Lisa McCartan Kim. Then things turned upside down. And what happened? Through 7 months of Zoom classes, and training at the park, Sija kept training. And not just training, but making time to help run those classes. And running several miles a week. Plus work and family. Basically, no slow ...down. Cut to this morning, and she knocked it out of the park. With the added benefit of wearing a mask for the whole thing. The only downside was that thanks to Corona, the rest of the JKD class wasn't able to see the display she put on. They would have been inspired. We are incredibly proud Sija! Also, our thanks to Master Rudy Duncan and his students for offering their school to us for the test , as we're preparing to move to our new location. The Syracuse martial arts community is a wonderful thing. Another great day for SMAA!

Hey JKD class! Just a reminder that it actually isn't raining, and we'll be on for class at Canal Landing Park this evening. Dress for the cooler temperatures. We'll be starting at 6 pm and going til about 7:30, or we lose the light and can't see each other anymore. Whichever comes first. Hope to see you all there!

Hey JKD class. Due to weather reports calling for showers again this evening, Sifu Eric has decided to cancel class for tonight. Sorry again guys. Bad weather can't last forever.

Hey JKD class! If you've looked out a window today you've probably noticed, the weather isn't on our side for today, so class for this evening is canceled. Hopefully things will dry out for Thursday evening. Feel free to get in a few push-ups and squats at home, and we'll see you soon.

Hey JKD class. Per one of our Manlius residents, it's looking like rain is likely. Rather than go out and then have everyone have to turn around and go home. Very sorry for the last minute notice. Unfortunately we can't control the weather..

Hey JKD class! Apologies for the late notice but class tonight, 09/22, at the Canal Landing Park is canceled so that the school staff can meet about plans going forward for the fall. We'll be back to our normal schedule for Thursday evening. See you all then.

Hey JKD class! Due to a combination of some wet weather, and some unforseen staff difficulties, class for this evening is canceled. Apologies for the late notice. Weather permitting, we should be back to normal for Kali on Saturday.

For anyone wondering where our classes are presently being held they are being held at Canal Landing Park in Fayetteville. Here is the schedule below. Mondays and Wednesdays 6 pm for Wing Chun Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 pm for JKD Friday 6 pm for Kali ... Saturday 1:30 pm for Kali. For all non members who would like to join in on the classes please send us a message through this group and we will arrange for you to attend.
