Very sad to share the news of Benny Mardones passing. 1993 Sammy Hall of Fame recipient. Syracuse's adopted "son". Rest in peace, may you fly and sing with the angels.

We at the Sammy’s are very saddened to share the loss of Judy Mareiniss. From Meegan Voss: "My dear friend and long time working partner, the great live sound engineer, Judy Mareiniss passed away Saturday night at 9PM. She had survived 2 9/11 blood cancers, a bone marrow transplant, & then got Covid-19. What a fight she put up. I know she would want me to say to all of you, protect EACH OTHER. She lived in Jackson Heights, Queens , 3 blocks away from Elmhurst Hospital (that w...as on the news every night). I hope she is free of all these constraints." Judy was one of the very first members of CNY Music Archives, and her legendary contributions to the music industry earned her a 2019 induction into the Syracuse Area Music Awards Hall of Fame. Her acceptance speech/career retrospective was streamed live from her Jackson Heights apartment and brought down the house with peels of laughter as she regaled us with her wit and charm.
