Camping across the USA w/ @h0neybeeee_ was made easy thanks to @freecamping We made our way through Illinois, Minnesota, the Badlands of South Dakota, Big Horn National Forest, Huckleberry Hot Springs south of Yellowstone, south of Zion on a super cool peninsula, through some more desert all the way to the beaches of Malibu & San Diego, and then through Arizona/ New Mexico/ Texas before heading back to New York. Social distancing was easy but dealing with the variety of temperatures (especially the HEAT on the beaches) and getting great sleep every single night was challenging. Shout out to my people along the way who gave us a bed to sleep in with solid walls around us. Out of 21 days of camping, we stayed at pay sites for 6. The total cost of all those sites was $80. An unforgettable adventure

It’s not necessary to be addicted to fitness to FEEL GOOD. You don’t have to jump higher, get bigger muscles, or move in intense ways. However, if you commit to being a student of life and understanding the benefits of being able to navigate the world in any way that you wish, then you’ll certainly find value in exercise. Don’t be fooled into thinking you can do anything sustainably in a few months. Commit to correcting your habits over the course of 5-10 years, and do your b...est not to let that give you an excuse everyday to put it off. DO SOMETHING. Every day. Eat a healthy meal. Figure out what you like. Eat that more often. Try out a new recipe. Take certain foods out of your diet for 2 weeks and notice how you feel. Track calories. Do 1 lunge on each leg. Throw a ball with your less dominant arm. Be conscious of how you are sitting. Educate yourself on posture. Run 100 ft. Run a mile. Run backwards in a field. Go for a hike. Go outside everyday for a week. Meditate for 1 minute. Look into holistic solutions to your problems. Be dynamic and question your own actions every single day. #dosomething #learn See more

The meaning of an event is not something fixed and eternal, but shifts with the context or the operation which is being performed upon it. Iron means one thing to a blacksmith hammering a horseshoe and another thing to a physicist studying atomic structure. When an engineer builds a modern steel bridge, both concepts are useful. #stuartchase #tyrannyofwords Are you hammering on your body without understanding the depth of connections that have been necessary for human survival & enhancement over the vast history of human kind? #fpisthestandard #rotate #dobetter #bebetter #divedeeper #think #fitness

Repost from @kyle.carleo Some of the results I’ve been getting with my clients using @functionalpatterns #fpisthestandard #realfunctionaltraining #fitness @ Syracuse, New York

Syracuse Movement Lab 11.07.2020

Training with me or any @functionalpatterns practitioner will get your body CONNECTED and STRONG AF in ways that actually matter. Chasing aesthetics or artistic movement - without functionality is a really good way to limit your immunity, guarantee that you will never resolve your pain, and accumulate more dysfunctions than you started with. Do yourself a favor and hire a coach that understands biomechanics at an elite level to get you on a program that will educate you about how your body needs to move through space. We must get back to the root of what it means to be a human by respecting nature. #fpisthestandard #fitnessproblems #move #biology #nature #biomechanics

Due to longer social distancing regulations, I’m going to take the time to go live on Facebook for a free hour of guided myofascial release tonight at 630pm. Comment any areas of pain and mobility limitations and I’ll be sure to address them! Be sure to Like Syracuse Movement Lab on Facebook if you haven’t already! Ideal tools: lacrosseball/tennis ball, softball, theracane, something the size of a volleyball. #selfcare #fitness #painmanagement

A couple people tagged me in the #see10do10challenge earlier this week (@cliffpcarey and @ddillon315) So I decided to work these into my workout today. Shout out to everyone staying fit while in quarantine! I’ve been running a lot, doing dynamic workouts and developing online training programs. #fitness #biomechanics #fitmotivation
