. Instead, focus on Intention. Intention is open, free and allows space for the ups and downs and all arounds. Intention respects the layers of growth that need to unfold, including engaging you in a mind-set that is flexible and non-rigid.
You are allowed to feel Merry & other feelings all at the same time. Cheers to being authentic! Sending love & compassion.

METTA MEDITATION Metta means loving kindness. To love is, first of all, to accept ourselves as we are. When we practice metta love, or meditation, we see the co...nditions that have caused us to be the way we are. This makes it easy for us to accept ourselves - our suffering and our happiness. When we practice stopping and breathing, we observe how much peace, happiness, and lightness we already have, and how much anger, irritation, fear, anxiety, and worry are there in us. As we become aware of our feelings, our self-understanding deepens. We see how our fears and lack of peace contribute to our unhappiness, and we see the value of loving ourselves and cultivating a heart of compassion. Sit still, calm your body and your breathing, and recite the meditation to yourself. Sitting still, you’re not too preoccupied with other matters, so you can look deeply at yourself as you are, cultivate your love for yourself, and determine the best ways to express this love in the world. May I be peaceful, happy, and light in body and spirit. May I be safe and free from injury. May I be free from anger, afflictions, fear, and anxiety. Begin practicing this love meditation on yourself, using the pronoun I. Until you’re able to love and care for yourself, you can’t be of much help to others. Then practice on others by replacing I with he, she, or they, first on someone you like, then on someone neutral to you, then on someone you love, and finally on someone the mere thought of whom makes you suffer. - Thich Nhat Hanh, in Making Space. Learning to listen to these messages is so empowering as it puts you back in charge of your internal response, rather than someone or something else in charge of you!
Sharing this message & a reminder that we can’t address the needs at the top of this pyramid with out the ones in blue being stable. It’s been 7 months and winter is looming. Mental health issues, basic need issues & lack of support related to our lockdown and the pandemic are especially hard for people. NAMI, The National Alliance on Mental Health has a helpline available from 10am-6pm EST: 1-800-950-6264 (or write [email protected]) NAMI connects callers to information for crisis managment assistance, emotional support and prevention hotlines, Legal Aide referral, housing resources, assistance with disability care, and referral to licensed professionals. Help is out there. Reach out!
Little things help us feel connected. Today I will drop off a box of hot tamales to a friend who is having a rough week( & she loves the candy). Not all kind gestures need to be grand, only the intention to spread kindness.

I needed to see this today. Perhaps you need to read it, too. Sending love & understanding.
We all need to read this. Sending love to my fellow humans on the struggle bus
Take a few minutes to notice & let go.
Crying is a natural response, let’s those tears flow. #feelyourfeelings

Right now there are Tibetan Buddhist monks in a temple in the Himalayas endlessly reciting mantras for the cessation of your suffering and for the flourishing o...f your happiness. Someone you haven't met yet is already dreaming of adoring you. Someone is writing a book that you will read in the next two years that will change how you look at life. Nuns in the Alps are in endless vigil, praying for the Holy Spirit to alight the hearts of all of God's children. A farmer is looking at his organic crops and whispering, "nourish them." Someone wants to kiss you, to hold you, to make tea for you. Someone is willing to lend you money, wants to know what your favorite food is, and treat you to a movie. Someone in your orbit has something immensely valuable to give you for free. Something is being invented this year that will change how your generation lives, communicates, heals and passes on. The next great song is being rehearsed. Thousands of people are in yoga classes right now intentionally sending light out from their heart chakras and wrapping it around the earth. Millions of children are assuming that everything is amazing and will always be that way. Someone is in profound pain, and a few months from now, they'll be thriving like never before. From where they are, they just can't see it . Someone who is craving to be partnered, to be acknowledged, to arrive, will get precisely what they want and even more. And because that gift will be so fantastical in it's reach and sweetness, it will quite magically alter their memory of angsty longing and render it all "So worth the wait." Someone has recently cracked open their joyous, genuine nature because they did the hard work of hauling years of oppression off of their psyche this luminous juju is floating in the ether, and is accessible to you. Someone just this second wished for world peace, in earnest. Some civil servant is making sure that you get your mail, and your garbage is picked up, that the trains are running on time, and that you are generally safe. Someone is dedicating their days to protecting your civil liberties and clean drinking water. Someone is regaining their sanity. Someone is coming back from the dead. Someone is genuinely forgiving the seemingly unforgivable. Someone is curing the incurable. You. Me. Some. One. Now. ~ Danielle LaPorte via Mary Standing Otter ART: Caroline Maniere

Once in a while You get shown the light In the strangest of places If you look at it right~ Robert Hunter
Greetings~ I am making the decision to move all sessions & semi-private sessions to virtual appointments. I appreciate your patience & support with this transition & will reach out to you individually regarding appointments. I hope that by all of us working together to flatten the spread of COVID-19, we can get closer to a time when we can practice in person together again. Be well, stay safe & healthy.
As a small business owner and member of the community I plead with everyone to be diligent and proactive to help stop the spread of covid. Most of what is being... asked of you are well established practices that help stop the spread of this type of infectious disease. Wear a face covering as much as possible in public (ideally one that has shown to be effective) and wear it properly. Wash your hands frequently. Avoid large groups, keep a distance and embrace the outdoors. For those of you that do not support the government's action - I am happy to talk about it (I would prefer for it to be privately but I respect your opinion and we might even agree on many things). Please still do anything you can to stop the spread. I realize this involves sacrifice. While you might not agree with the mandates, keep in mind that if cases continue to rise we will face more restrictions and probable business shutdowns. Many of your favorite small businesses are on the edge of failing. No more aid is coming anytime soon. So please follow the mandates and help stop the spread. If you don't want to do it for public health then do it to keep local businesses open. Additionally, even if you were guaranteed this wouldn't kill you or that you wouldn't spread it to someone who dies - you still don't want this thing. Some People like to compare it to the flu - have you ever had a bad case of the flu? It's terrible and actually does kill people and can cause long lasting negative effects. I personally know someone who is sicker than they have ever been from this thing (healthy person in their mid thirties going on over a week of hell). You might be lucky and be asymptotic or have minor symptoms but for many people it is hell.
There is so much healing to be done it can be overwhelming to consider where to start. Here is my recommendation: #empathyinaction #lovemore #startwithunderstanding
May we all have a peaceful week.
Much gratitude RBG.
Grateful for the support as we slowly & cautiously reopen. Offering Private & Semi-Private sessions & classes. Group classes will not be available until further notice. https://www.syrtherayoga.com/
You are worthy of healing & support. I highly recommend this virtual program.
We are reopening for private sessions starting on 9/15/2020. The easiest way to book an appointment is to email [email protected] & request a session. Unfortunately there will not be any group classes. Much gratitude for your continued support.

Happy Full Moon!
Love these offerings.
State Regulations for opening were given on Monday. I am working out a plan to re-open. Thanks for your patience & support while I get rocking making sure we can be as safe as possible.
Hi friends! Not being able to open creates time for me to do continuing education. Currently working with the smarty pants people from LoveYourBrain.
Take a deep breath, bring your mind into the present moment and repeat "all is well in this moment." Become very aware that when you're agitated, stressed, or overwhelmed look at what you're thinking, and almost always your thoughts are past regrets or ruminating, or future worries.
This is all so on point. Take care of yourselves.
