Just a thought for all of you agents working so hard and following the strict guidelines under the present Pause Order. It has been extremely hard for all of ...us struggling agents but, there are some companies small & large going above and beyond showing they care for their employees and people who work under them. I currently work under WNY Metro Roberts and Jim Roberts is one of those absolutely amazing people who shows he cares to all of his agents. In my short time with WNY Metro Roberts Jim has offered so much during this awful pandemic and asked for nothing in return. Then, there are other brokerages that only think of themselves and not the people that work there. They portray themselves to the community as caring and giving but, to them their own people mean nothing. During this pandemic I have had no income like many agents. I was a capped agent with my previous brokerage with an anniversary date of May 1st. Before I left to join WNY Metro Roberts March 1st, I had three remaining open deals which would have closed in March/April 2020 but, due to the virus they were delayed not by my fault. First deal closed April 30, second closed May 5 and last closed May 14. My previous brokerage’s policy is you get your commission on the date they get the check. I understand policy, but that is not fair it should be on the date it closes. Due to this policy, I lost my 100% commission which I was planning on to help me financially during the pandemic. The point of this article is to show how thoughtless and uncaring people and companies can be especially during these trying times. Most of us are struggling to keep afloat and helping each other as much as possible. Policies are changed and amended all the time.
