The Downtown Riverhead - BID is sponsoring a double-impact fundraiser aimed to assist hospital workers fighting on the frontline of the COVID-19 crisis, and to ...support the work and livelihood of downtown restaurants that are struggling to stay open amid the nationwide ‘shelter-in place’ order. The plan: buy gift cards from eateries in downtown Riverhead, then distribute the cards to employees at Peconic Bay Medical Center- Northwell Health. The first round of 120 gift cards are being sent out to hospital employees early next week.
