At approximately 2:30pm today, the Tarrytown FD responded to a reported structure fire on Union Ave. On scene within minutes, Car 2461 Chief Derivan, reported a... heavy smoke condition and fire through the roof. Chief Derivan activated our 10-75 mutual aid assignment to bring other departments from the area to the scene. On this cold and rainy Mother’s Day, the TFD was able to bring this structure fire under control within an hour using multiple hose lines and manpower. The fire is under investigation with the Westchester County Cause and Origin Team at this time and our members are all back home with no injuries to be with family.
