We would like to thank everyone who attended any or all of our programs this year. We’ll be deciding on the 2020 programs soon. Suggestions are appreciated; as are donations for the painting and repair of the Church on Solon Pond. See you all soon!

Well, all you folks who have been following the mystery of the Puzzle Inn and subsequently the Cross (Peri) Store, we have found definitive proof that they were one and the same. Pat Johnston, our President, went through our archives and presents the following two photos. The sign and the ice cream window. Thanks to everyone who contributed information and Dave Messineo for the info from the Cox diaries.

Dave Messinio provided the following from the Cox diary in regard to the Puzzle Inn. I went back into the Cox diaries from about 1924 to 1943 when Frank Cox died. I have not gone over any years beyond 1935.... Visitis to the Puzzle Inn occurred in 1928 and 1929. All visits are on Sunday afternoons after church and after Sunday dinner. Usual entry "went to church, had dinner, took a nap and then drove down to the Puzzle Inn for ice cream On some occasions they went on to Willet or Cincinnatus or took long rides, but other times only to the Puzzle Inn and then home. Most occasions they had "ice cream". On one occasion they had "ice cream cones" and another occasion they had "cherry ice cream." On one occasion it is referred to as the Taylor Puzzle Inn. All visits to the Puzzle Inn are in milder weather May, June, July Aug and Sept and a few was late as October and early November. Does this ring any bells for anyone?
