Trumansburg Conservatory of Fine Arts 04.12.2020

Join us for a world premiere musical event! A Canon for Reunion is a new musical work by Ithaca composer John Bunge, celebrating the coming together for musical experiences. The canon (or round) will consist of two movements of about 10 minutes each, for a quartet consisting of Maggie Burke, clarinet; John Bunge, banjo; William Hurley, viola; and former TCFA instructor Christopher Morgan Loy, piano. Performance begins at 3PM EST on Sunday December 6. A Q&A session featuring the performers on Zoom will follow the performance at 3:30PM. NEW Dance Classes start December 9! These new in-person classes (with an online option) will run through the annual Spring Recital in May 2021. Classes are tentative, and subject to enrollment. Register at TCFA.live Intermediate Ballet & Jazz (ages 7+) - Wednesdays 4:30-5:30pm - Intermediate Ballet and Jazz terminology, techniques, steps, and combinations.... Dance Stretch & Strength: Turns & Leaps (all ages) - Wednesdays 5:45-6:45pm - Dance conditioning workout class to strengthen core, improve extension and strength in the legs, and improve overall dance technique, specifically for turns and leaps. Ballet for Adults (all ages) - Wednesdays 7-8pm - Ballet to strengthen their ankles, legs and core body, as well as gently stretch the hips and limbs. All skill levels are welcome. Advanced Tap & Jazz (ages 7+) - Thursdays 3-4pm Advanced Tap and Jazz terminology, techniques, steps and combinations in historical Vaudeville theatre jazz and contemporary jazz styles. Kinderdance (ages 5+) - Saturdays 11-12pm Students learn basic ballet and tap terminology, rhythm, steps and combinations through dance games, warm ups, song-dances, and combinations.
