Now I miss competing :)

I have been involved with Judo on and off since 1984. In 2007 ventured into opening a Dojo - Team Combat. I have met Olympians, UFC fighters and people from all around the World. I have been honored to train some great people along the way. I have mentored many kids and adults. We have made many Black Belts and there are many more ahead. I have seen babies born and marriages made in our club (family) . I have made life long friends. Heck - I had 2 heart attacks on the mat. I ...am very great full to all the people that have touched my life through Judo. I care very deeply for all of you. But due to COVID and NYState regulations I must close down Team Combat. With Anthony Lee,Kevin Cassidy, Paul Sollicito, Charles Easton, and Barry John we have done everything we can to keep things going during this time of no contact, but the reality is that without contact there is no Judo. So until there is a vaccine and contact sports are allowed in NY again, I sadly close our Club. To all students: I hope you all got more than Judo from us because the goal of Team Combat was always to make good people. I hope to give everyone a birthday beat down again sometime in the future and you know I will throw you with te guruma ! See more
