In August, TEAM Tioga was awarded a USDA Rural Business Development Grant in the amount of $69,945. These funds are being used to study the county’s agricultural value chain. The consulting firm Karen Karp & Partners, who has extensive experience in the food and agriculture field, was retained to conduct the study. Working with local businesses, farmers, and community members, Karen Karp & Partners, along with help from TEAM Tioga, will create an understanding of the county’s agriculture value chain, and develop strategies to enhance marketing options for Tioga County farmers.
