It has all charm of a #smalltown without missing out on the benefits of being in a #city. #nyc With many people leaving New York from the Effects of #Corona -emotionally and financially - it breaks my heart. I know many locals have rallied to try & help our local businesses be able to stay open while they ...are transitioning through these uncertainties. Everything from shopping local to helping contribute to staff workers who became #unemployed and gofundme each pages (Casa Magazines, La BonBonier, Buss stop cafe, The Elk, Bonsignor, Kava, etc...) We will come back strong. We are strong. #wearestrong #resilient #courageous However, Many small mom & pop shops couldn’t make it through these tough times with such huge city over heads. With many uncertainties about the future of retail, shops opening, schools, parks opening; etc- We have lost one of our West Village staples- family owned, Teich Toys They will be available all week till 4 pm to do curb side pick up etc, as they are closing their doors to start a new chapter in their lives. They will be greatly missed. Remember the importance of community, Keeping mom & pop stores alive, supported, #shoppinglocal and supporting your neighborhood! It is with heavy hearts we announce that Teich Toys & Books will be going out of business. Operating a small biz in NYC is challenging at the best of times, and with such uncertainty ahead, it has become impossible to reopen our store. We still have so many of the wonderful toys, games, books, art supplies, and baby gifts that we bought months ago with all of you in mind. Why not stock up on birthday and holiday gifts? We’ll be processing web and phone orders though June 22...nd, so be sure to get your orders in by then. All orders will include fun, age appropriate surprises as a gift from us.
