Ordination/Installation on Sunday, December 6th, 2020 for Pastor Ken Alberg ... We give God praise for yesterday's beautiful weather and for an unforgettable worship service, which now goes into the annals of FBC history. Many traveled the distance to affirm, support and celebrate Pastor Ken, together with his wife, Joanne on this most auspicious occasion of his ordination and installation. Rev. Jerrod Hugenot, Associate Executive Minister, ABCNYS gave an inspiring message ...'for such a time as this', entitled "The Good Word in Difficult Times", reminding us that we could find comfort in God's Word which endures forever. He also officiated the ordination and Installation ceremony. Also in attendance were: Rev. Dr. Bruce and Mrs. JoAnne Allen, family and friends of Pastor Ken and Mrs. Joanne Alberg, along with their FBC family. Special thanks to Mr. Mike Young and Ms. Carolyn Sayles for creating a worshipful atmosphere with the invocation and music, respectively; also to Rev. Allen, pastor emeritus, for offering the prayer of dedication, a natural, unwavering transition and "passing of the baton" to our new pastor. We graciously pray God's peace, guidance and protection over the Albergs as they set out on this new journey hand in hand with Him. May we, as a body, seek to remain steadfast in our love and dedication towards God and each other and embolden in faith, especially in these challenging times. Welcome Rev. Ken and Mrs. Joanne Alberg! To God be the glory; great things He has done, of which our hearts are glad! Photo credits: Haydee Colon
