In July 2020 Governor Cuomo signed an Executive Order saying that each police agency is required to evaluate how the police are doing within the community. There are multiple ways to let your voice be heard. There are 4 community in-person and virtual forums as well as an anonymous survey. (see link below) You may participate in all of the above if you so choose. Your voice matters! https://www.co.ontario.ny.us//Police-Reform-and-Reinventio
A last minute reminder to drop off your unused / unwanted medications (pills, liquids or syringes in a puncture proof container) TOMORROW, Saturday, October 24th at the Canandaigua Wegmans parking lot between 10am - 2pm. It is a drive thru drop off and masking and social distancing will be adhered to by all the volunteers. Thanks to Ontario County Sheriff Wegmans Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Ontario County and the Canandaigua and Geneva City Police Departments. See you tomorrow!
Please take a moment to take the survey below. It is brief and will help us determine the needs in our community brought on by COVID-19 and how best to meet them.

There's still time!!! The goal of the census is to count every person living in the United States, once, only once and in the right place. Article I, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution mandates that this population and housing count occur every 10 years. Census data guide how more than $675 billion of federal funding is distributed to states and communities each year. https://2020census.gov/

We are humbled and blessed. A HUGE thanks to the CDGA Coffee Co. and Young Lion Brewing for their generous donation of $1300 to the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Ontario County. Our Coalition is comprised of local organizations and community volunteers and provide suicide prevention trainings to local businesses, churches, and community organizations. We meet every other month and could not do it without the support of generous donors like these. Thank you for caring about and supporting mental health in your community. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
It takes a big heart to share your personal story with the world. Thank you, Kayleigh Woodard and Woodard Rentals for sharing your story with us. Your mother raised a beautiful soul. Thank you for your generosity to The Community Support Center. Every day we strive to support our community through connection.
