A Cinematic Vision Jay P. Morgan details some of his latest quirky photo shoots, from concept to capture, with his Tamron lenses. http://bit.ly/eNewJayPMorganMarch2018 On Jay P.'s camera whether he's shooting photos or film: his roster of Tamron lenses, including the SP 24-70mm F/2.8 VC G2, SP 70-200mm F/2.8 VC G2, SP 35mm F/1.8 VC, and SP 45mm F/1.8 VC. Here, Jay P. explains some recent sessions he's done with these lenses, from concept to final shutter press.
New Tamron 100-400mm lens in stock at only $799.99. That's less than half what the camera manufacturers own lens would sell for! Come on in to check it out>
Here is an old 1927 photo finishing bag from one of our old locations on Jay Street. 118 film, wow! That was Kodak Autographic film that allowed the user to take a metal stylus attached to the back of the camera, open a sliding window, and write information on the film itself. Wikipedia says that Kodak paid the patent holder $300,000 for the right to use this feature. The inventor also developed the safety razor.

Here is an old 1916 newspaper ad for our business that ran in the Union Star. We're still here but located at 273 State Street. I'm pretty proud of what my Grandfather started. He was a mechanical engineer for The General Electric Co. and also the assistant editor of The GE Review in 1908. As the story was related to me, he was asked to give up his 2nd Photo-Lab endeavor in order to concentrate on his GE job. 100+ years later we are still serving our community with photographic equipment, supplies, and photofinishing.
Many people have been talking about photographing eagles they have seen in the area. Tamron makes a terrific 150-600mm zoom lens. Check out this site for how to photograph eagles: http://www.tamron-usa.com//archives/2017/apr217_bourne.html
So true. We get in the bad habit of posing for portraits which makes them very static and boring. Always try to capture the action of why you want to take the photo in the first place and a good portrait doesn't need to show faces, it could be just hands, a shadow on the ground, or a silhouette in the sunset.
Some great deals for Black Friday shopping on Tamron lenses, especially the 16-300mm and 150-600mm.
Now is the time for that new Tamron lens. Fall colors are almost here and that late afternoon lighting is so gorgeous!
Old 1910 Glass Autochrome plate of my Grandmother Harriet Eoff taken by the founder of The Photo-Lab, Inc.-Beverly M. Eoff. The setting was most likely at Lake George NY.
wow! This is a beautiful lens. We have the Canon mount in stock.
What father wouldn't want one of these!
1947 photo of our old store located at 269 State Street, Schenectady, NY. One showcase shows Parker fountain pens and quick drying ink (Quink) that we sold. Still have the oval picture hanging in our store. Cameras must be up front.
