Think twice the next time your doctor prescribes Baytril or your vet chooses one of this class of antibiotic for a persistent ear or skin infection there can be serious, permanent neural or tendon consequences. There are other options for deep seated infections!
Great article about pack dynamics and how to avoid poor choices!!
Dr. Sarah will be unavailable from October 28 until November 1st. Thanks for understanding!

Great video by my fab colleague Dr. Gary Richter on pet nutrition and health!!
I say food is food... unless is comes out of a bag, and is heat treated and preserved. This article explains how the industrial food industry *sold* the first world on using dog food rather than giving their dogs whatever they were eating. Yes, it is convenient and inexpensive, especially when you have large dogs. But you can improve their health a lot (cancer is rampant among pets!) with little tweaks like this.
Here is one of the latest pet food recalls: The affected products include the following information on the bottom of the cans: Product Name: Natural Balance Ultra Premium Chicken & Liver Paté Formula canned cat food 5.5 oz can... Retail UPC Code: 2363353227 Lot Code: 9217803 Best If Used By Date: 08 04 2021 The product is commonly sold in pet specialty stores and online throughout the U.S. and Canada. The company said no other Natural Balance products are included in the recall. More info in the article this comes from: https://newyork.cbslocal.com//j-m-smucker-company-recall/

Hey local pet peeps-- we have an opportunity to get Assisi loops for $75 off the normal price plus free shipping to you. This PEMF technology is an easy, safe way to treat chronic arthritis pain and other syndromes. Each session is 15", just lay the loop in the area needed. Each loop will give 150 treatments before the battery runs out, and now, instead of $299, the price is $225-- 25% off, plus free shipping direct to you in two days. That's only $1.50 per treatment, and you can do it every day! Email me if you want to order one: [email protected]. The separation anxiety product is also available, but not at a discount!
Time for some good news! At least for one kitty... This is Leo, who was a hairs' breath from being euthanized two weeks ago due to a nasal tumor that was obstructing his breathing. His people started steroids as a "Hail Mary", which bought them a little time, and came to see me. I was able to refer them to Smithridge, near NYC, a clinic that leads the nation in cryosurgery for oral and nasal tumors. The doctor there was able to rush Leo in and performed a life-saving surgery, getting the tumor with good margins, just before it eroded into the roof of his mouth. Now he is acting like a kitten again and eating everything that is not nailed down. Second photo is post surgery. Despite the Frankenstein stitch line, his good looks are not much impaired! Don't give up hope!!
Meow! Thank a cat today for their companionship!!
