This weeks Artist highlight is an Artist who is BRAND NEW! Rachel Cordaro is a full-time professional painter and textile Artist. She grew up and currently resides in Rochester, NY with her Artist Husband, Cordell Cordaro. Cordaro spent her entire life making art and had parents who inspired and encouraged her to experiment in multiple genres.... Her floral paintings have gained widespread notoriety throughout the city of Rochester and are carried by many of the city’s high-end boutiques. Rachel’s work has spread to many private collections and retailers across the US from places like Marthas Vineyard, Washington State, Texas, Florida, Hawaii and many states in between! Rachel has since expanded her clientele to Turks and Caicos and Italy. A customer of Cordaro’s said it best: Rachel’s work prioritizes outward beauty. Her flowers don’t attempt to reproduce physical reality; instead, they strive for a higher symbolic truth: our need for nature’s enchantments. She doesn’t paint with the delicate intricacy one might expect in floral art, but rather with broad, thick strokes and strong centers that carry a flare of confidence into the blossoms. Her paintings have no human subjects, yet they exude human personality: dramatic, shy, flirtatious, quiet, sassy, classy, and at times untamed. Welcome aboard, Rachel! We are so glad to have you.
