Safety plan for guest services at The Corner Barber. NO WALK INS, APPOINTMENTS ONLY. If you need an appointment text the front desk, and they can help you. (718) 486-3777 Please do not enter until you've been told it's okay to come inside. The reception seating areas are closed, and you must remain outside until your appointment time begins. Do not arrive early unless you've received a text asking you to come early. This allows guests to physically distance from other guests ...before and after the appointments. There is a bench outside TCB, where you are welcome to sit. We will text you (or get your attention visually) when to come on inside. We will take your temperature before you enter, and additional screening questions may be asked about your health, and recent travel. YOU MUST WEAR A FACE COVERING AT ALL TIMES. When you come in we ask that you use hand sanitizer, or to use the restroom to wash your hands before your barber seats you. Beard trims, and shaves are not offered at this time. Blow drying and shampooing may be limited to arbitrary minimums at the barber's discretion. We recommend that our services be performed on clean, dry hair; and to limit wet and drying services. It's important to keep visits as short as possible while having your services done. We will clean the chairs and stations between each guest. This will slow down operations some; so it's important that we work together to be somewhat flexible with timing. The goal is for zero overlap of guests. Keep your phone handy to receive updates from the desk. We have removed 50% of operating capacity to comply with physical distancing. Come alone. Do not bring anyone with you who is not receiving services. Children are not permitted on the premises, except for their scheduled appointments. Their guardians are not permitted to encroach the 6 foot distancing rule. If you think your child may be too young for this, they probably are. There are no complimentary beverages. You may bring your own, but take your trash with you if you do, please. Use street garbage cans for any refuse. Near the end of your service begin the payment process while you're still in the chair. Let the cashier know, via your barber, how you plan to pay; and if you want to purchase any retail products. Your barber may help expedite the transaction at the chair, instead of you stopping at the cashier desk, when and if possible. We can help make paying more contactless by texting you the total due; so that you can pay via Zelle, or with a chip embedded Credit Card, Debit Card, or PayPal payment. (At TCB credit cards are accepted, but are subject to surcharge fees). Tips must be paid directly to your barber. Tips can not be put on Credit Cards. Most barbers have their own Venmo, or PayPal. Just ask.
