On Thursday May 9th, four participants from the LPGA-USGA Girl's Golf Program of The First Tee of Nassau County attended the "Empowering the Next Generation" WIL event at the Bank of America building Bryant Park as per guests of Susan Wu. The girls were delighted to hear the success stories from three of Bank of America's young women, Michelle Meyer, Katherine Warren and Laura Zimmerman. Each woman shared her own personal journey and encouraged the girls to" find their own wa...y". The girls were encouraged to try new things, take a public speaking, set big goals, and even find a mentor, all in the effort to set them up for future success. In addition to the panel presentations the girls in the audience were given the opportunity to ask questions and learn more from these amazing women. As the event wrapped up the girls were treated to a tasty reception and afforded even more face to face interaction with the women in the panel. @ Bank of America Tower See more

Come join our friends for a winter mini golf course at The PGA Tour Superstore in Westbury this Saturday, December 15th from 10am-12pm. The First Tee volunteers will also be there wrapping gifts for donations, come support The First Tee and take care of all your holiday wrapping at the same time!

This past Sunday, our participants came out to Eisenhower Golf Course to thank our veterans. With PGA TOUR Superstore we handed out donuts and yellow ribbons to those who have served. Due to inclement weather, all classes today (10/13) will be held indoors at the white building. The white building is located across from the playground at Field 8. Please make sure that all participants bring their books with them.
