What an Honor as a Latina to celebrate and share my 45th Birthday with the inauguration of the New President, and the first ever, African-American woman and first South Asian-American senator in the history of the US. It was so beautiful to see such diversity in the group surrounding her and our new president. What a wonderful world it would be if we could strive to not only diversity our work environments but also our own social circles. Look beyond color and be able to connect as human beings. To see souls and love instead of physical appearance. The future is looking more hopeful as of this morning!! Happy 45 to myself today. I am wiser, stronger, full of resilience, courage and lots of vulnerability. 44 was a difficult year , with many struggles and hardships. I got through it, all the same! Yay! Today is the start of a brand-new year. I am looking forward to a fresh start. Happy birthday to me!
