Plan your holiday gym schedule!! We will be having regular class times leading up to Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve, we will ONLY have the morning classes and doing everyone's favorite Christmas WOD, the 12 days of Christmas. Then we are closed on Christmas Day and the 26th, enjoy that time with your family.... Jeff began his time as a professional trainer in 2008. Before that he has always been a student how the body moves and understanding and studying different types of training methodologies. After years of sport (NCAA) and learning about mental toughness through years of military training (USMC), he implemented a new and unique style of training at a local gym. He studied many variations of fitness and learned the key ingredients to a workout regimen that would challenge you me...ntally, physically as well as scalable for all levels. After instructing both personal training and small group classes, he found where he could excel and went off on his own and started The Hurt Locker in late 2014. Not of a mindset to settle, Jeff realized there was an opportunity in Clarence to bring another form of fitness to the area Hot Yoga. Continuing with the desire to bring fitness to everyone, in a non-boring way, he pursued Hot Flow Yoga with a Vinyasa style. Your body is always in motion. You have the ability, for one hour, to check your laundry list of to do’s at the door, and focus on you, your breath and your movements. As time went by, and wanting to provide the best service possible to his athletes and members, the latest business to open its doors is The Recovery Locker. In this space, there is a stretching area, ice bath, and infrared saunas. The Locker is a family of brands, we focus on making our members stronger, both mentally and physically.

Our 45-60 minute sessions combine movements in Olympic lifting, Powerlifting, Gymnastics as well as other functional approaches. Programming is unique each day and is provided ahead of time. There is also an opportunity to take on personal training clients as well. Must have: Currently certified through one of the nationally accredited industry associations (USAW (prefe...rred), NASM, ACSM, NSCA, ACE, etc.) CPR Certification 1-year personal training experience working with clients Ability to perform necessary training movements and exercises, ability to demonstrate exercises with good form and ease Excellent communication skills and a positive personality Proven ability to teach and motivate others, ability to build a team environment Reliable, consistent, team player If interested, message us here or email us.

The constant variation of metabolic conditioning (high-intensity circuit-type training) will always keep the body and mind fresh with daily changes. By training your body with high power functional movements, rather than repetitive isolation exercises, your body will not only look better but WORK better. The Hurt Locker is a deliberate attempt to optimize a wide range of physical competence.
Who doesn't love an AMRAP of Burpees
Strength training has the tendency of shortening and tightening your muscle tissue. By adding in yoga, you flow through a range of poses that help facility your mobility and help decompress the tight areas of your body. A consistent yoga practice can help release tight muscles and encourage flexibility. This will lead to an increased range of motion and mobility throughout your strength training, helping reduce the risk of injury.
Our workouts will keep you honest and force you to attack your weaknesses. This is something most people avoid when training on their own, which severely limits your progress and growth. Making your weaknesses your strengths is our main goal to get you to reach your full potential, whether you’re an athlete or just trying to be as healthy/fit as possible. Unlike most other fitness programs, when you come to The Hurt Locker, you will have measurable and repeatable data to prove you are becoming fitter.
At-home workout with minimal equipment! Start with the 50 air squats, then go through crunches, push-ups, ground to overhead then atomic sit-ups. Once you finish sit-ups, go to 40 air squats.
You can keep looking everywhere to find motivation. Be your own motivation.
There are much better ways to measure your success than the number on the scale. Let's hear them...
We prefer you in our doors, but with or without the gym, you can get it done!
You don't need a lot of equipment to get in a good workout. Do this with just one dumbbell. Hope you like to plank!
