At Lang, we focus on teaching our students the richer and more inclusive narratives of history. "I am Lenape" was a great read, and highlighted for our youngest students how most representations of the Lenape as only living "long ago" leave out a big part of the story. We want reading to always be an experience of "windows, mirrors and sliding glass doors," as we are all searching for new ways to find ourselves in the narratives we read and the stories we tell.
