Entitled The Women Who Raised Me, it’s Kandace’s tribute to all the great women in jazz who touched her and made her want to become who she is today. Each song is her take on a classic song by great singers such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae, Roberta Flack, etc. Many of Kandace’s famous friends came and helped her out with the making of this... record, including premier bassist Christian McBride, premier saxophonist Chris Potter, most famous saxophonist in the world David Sanborn, and last but not least, the incredible Norah Jones! Norah and Kandace both play piano and sing together on an amazing version of Angel Eyes in tribute to Ella Fitzgerald. Available on all platforms.
