Who says you need snow to make holiday decorations look good?! We think it's all about location.

The Martin House contains eight internal pier clusters that, in tandem with the terminal piers, carry the weight of the floors. The pier clusters also hold the radiators and hide book shelves. The art glass pattern of the pier cluster windows inspired a beautiful ornament - perfect for any window or your holiday tree. Find the ornament and many other special gifts at martinhouse.org/shop. Curbside pickup is available. Member sale also going on now!

#ThrowbackThursday The Martins were well-known to have given gifts throughout the community. Cora Herrick, Isabelle’s companion pictured here with Isabelle, recorded in 1912 that she spent the entire day delivering gifts, which often included cut flowers from the on-site greenhouse. Given the blooms we enjoyed during the first full year of the landscape restoration, we can only imagine the joy when receiving a bouquet from the Martin estate!

Bob Kresse was one of the primary forces behind the Martin House restoration and all that has been accomplished over the past 25 years. As Founding Director and our long-standing board chair, he led with determination, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to the entire Buffalo community. But first and foremost, Bob was a family man. He and his wife Mary Ann raised eight children and were blessed with 19 grandchildren. Thank you to Bob and his entire family for all they have done to elevate people, destinations, and neighborhoods in our great city.
