THIS NEWSPAPER IS FOR SALE Dearest readers and advertisers, As you may have noticed in the front page notice shown below, I am afraid I must give up this newspaper so that I may retire and care for my elderly mother. It is a very difficult thing for me to do, but family must come first, and I am glad that I am able to be of help to her, and honored to do so.... My husband and I started this paper in 2008, and over the years it has grown into arguably the most popular newspaper in the area and beyond. We now deliver papers to over 300 locations in parts of 4 counties Steuben, Ontario, Yates and Livingston. We also upload the paper in its entirety every Thursday to our website at nyeaglenews.com. Demand for the paper continues to grow, to the point that it can be difficult to keep up! Folks living in areas we don't yet cover frequently call and ask us to include their towns in coverage as well as delivery. Indeed, quite a few people actually pick up a handful of papers at a grocery or similar current distribution point every week and take them to their own business, town, job, or social organization, to share them with others! It was my husband’s dying wish that I keep The New York Eagle News going after he passed, which he did in 2012. I have honored his wish, and indeed love this paper and the opportunity it affords to touch the lives of tens of thousands of readers in a positive way each week, and to help area businesses thrive and grow in the process. This mission is so important that I am seeking to sell the paper to someone who will keep it going, carrying on what we have worked so very hard to build. A new owner or owners can benefit greatly from the strong foundation and demand that we have created, along with the opportunity to add their own touches.
