Head greens keeper Ed, along with our maintenance crew and Manager Jeff completed our coring & aeration process today! Aeration is the process of creating openings in the lawn to help air, water and nutrients move into the soil to the grass roots, alleviate soil compaction and help reduce thatch. An aerator pulls plugs out of the soil coring, spiking or slicing into the soil. So in other words, we are helping the grass on our course be as healthy as possible. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Check out our video of the aeration process on the 9th green at Otsego Golf Course this morning.
