Friday social! What does everybody think of @pantone 's colour choices for 2021? And yes - that's not a typo - this year there's two colours, reflecting the po...larising year of highs and lows we've experienced recently. Ultimate Gray is a foundational but soft grey; architectural but complex, much like Chalk Paint in Chicago Grey. Illuminated is a glowing, warm yellow which to me represents hope and optimism - step right up Chalk Paint in English Yellow. I think these are VERY well considered colour choices; I think I'd be sad if the "Colour Of The Year" had gone to a grey but balanced with the yellow we're left with a palette that's, as one commenter said over on @chalkpaint "chic but cheerful".
