Congratulations to the team on the successful completion of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office renovation in Canandaigua, New York. The project included 39,650 SF remodel along with a 4,400 SF addition and the removal of load bearing CMU walls which were replaced by structural steel to achieve larger meeting spaces in the newly renovated building. The project also included a roof replacement, new sprinkler system throughout most of the building, as well as the replacement of existing mechanical, plumbing, electrical in renovated spaces.

Congratulations to the Pike team, along with our partners at PJ Dick, and the Canandaigua VA Medical Center on the final beam placement on the new building 2 on campus late last week! A great milestone achievement for this important community project.

UPDATE: Pike will be holding a virtual meet and greet for the ORDA Olympic Center Revitalization project on Thursday, October 1st at 10:30am. Pike is seeking certified NYS M/WBE/SDVOB subcontractors and vendors who can provide a commercially useful function to bid on the 1932 Rink - Jack Shea Arena & the 1980 Rink - Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, NY. The project has a Project Labor Agreement and is tax-exempt. The scope of work includes demolition, modification, renovations of architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and IT systems. Work also includes hazardous materials abatement. Work at the Byron-Bergen Central School District completed on time for the new and unique school year! The campus improvement project included renovations at the elementary school, including a complete renovation of all classrooms, a gymnasium & cafeteria upgrade as well as a new bus loop and asphalt parking lot. Work at the middle and high school included improvements such as ceiling replacements, roof replacement, and exterior envelope repair. Great work team!

Pike is committed to building and strengthening our safety culture. During Construction Safety Week, we have provided daily safety topics for our teams on-site as well as at home. Pike project teams held safety stand downs focusing on a variety of topics, including fall prevention. Our top priority is to ensure the health and safety of our people, clients, and subcontractors as well as sharing best practices to promote a #Safety Always mindset! #constructionsafetyweek #builtonsafety

It is Construction Appreciation Week and Pike would like to acknowledge and thank the hardworking men and women in the industry who contribute to the development of our facilities, infrastructure, products, and communities! #constructionappreciationweek

Collaboration is key! Our design-build team at the RTS Advanced Environmental Service Building passed a few significant milestones over the last month. The structural steel and CMU structure has been completed and the roof is water tight. From design through construction the collaborative approach of this team represents the power harnessed in a design-build approach. Great work team!

The Pike Company will be hosting virtual subcontractor meet and greet on Wednesday, September 9th at 3:30pm for the New York Power Authority NYS Canal Corporation Utica Maintenance Facility in Frankfort, New York. The project is a 27,000 SF maintenance facility and 4,000 SF storage shed on a 5-acre site. Please email Jenny Arbelo at [email protected] to register. Check out the latest drone footage of the new Brothers of Mercy Assisted Living Community in Clarence, New York set to open in early fall! The facility includes 34 memory care units and 60 assisted living units.

During the months of July and August, Pike employees participated in our Build Your Wellness Challenge by completing activities on their wellness bingo board in exchange for prizes. Some of these activities included try a new exercise routine, stay hydrated, and take breaks to stretch during the day to name a few!
