Revelations Family: we have some exciting news! . . . Even among the uncertainty of Covid 19, our team is growing! ... Please help us welcome Chelsea Herron to our salon team! Chelsea specializes in womens colors and highlights but performs all cutting and styling services with exceptional care and precision. She earned her cosmetology license in 2012 after studying at Herkimer BOCES under our owner, MaryBeth. (You know she was trained well! ) Chelsea has been practicing for 8 years. While Chelsea works full time for Herkimer County Department of Social Services, she thoroughly enjoys working with her clients to help them feel and look like a million dollars. Chelsea is married and has a beautiful daughter, Claire. She loves to spend time with her family. We could not be happier about Chelsea’s decision to join the ladies of Revelations! Welcome, Chelsea!

To our Revelations Family: First, thank you for your support during this most uncertain time. Like many other small businesses, the Pause (although necessary, and one we were in support of) has caused significant strain on our salon. We are confident that we can continue to weather this storm, especially with the promising news that salons and barber shops are, indeed, a professional service and as such, included in Phase 2 of our state’s reopening. Over the past several we...eks, we have received many phone calls and messages about providing hair services and scheduling future appointments. We are listening to and reading your messages, and when we receive guidance from the State on when we can officially reopen, we will be contacting you. Under the NYS Department of Licensing, we are held to long-standing sanitation and disinfecting regulations. Revelations Salon consistently exceeds inspection standards. However, many of our practices will be modified for the increased safety of you and our staff. We will inform all of you on those practices as they are implemented and approved. You can expect required mask wearing (we will provide you with a disposable mask) and hand washing pre and post-appointment. Other guidelines will be shared at a later date. The health and safety of you and your family has always been our top priority and we will ensure that our salon is a clean and safe environment. We are committed to a safe reopening and will keep you updated on policies, procedures, and price increases. We are still uncertain on an exact date that we can reopen. We will not begin scheduling appointments until we have a confirmed reopening date. Please be patient and understanding as we navigate scheduling and guidelines, which will include social distancing within the salon. We will first be servicing the appointments cancelled due to the statewide executive order for NY on Pause, beginning from the time that the order started until the date we reopen. Please know that we love you and miss you dearly. You are so special to us. This has been equally as difficult to not see you over these past several weeks. You are our family; our chosen family. We pray you and yours are staying well.

Today, April 30, is National Hairstylist Appreciation Day! While we’d usually be celebrating with our very favorite clients in one of our most favorite places doing what we love, this year had different plans for us. Know that during this time of distance, we are keeping all of you in our heart always! We know this time has been difficult for us all, and can’t wait to be your friend/listening ear/chair therapist when our doors can be open again. ... Cuomo requiring hair salons, barber shops, and nail salons to cease operation effective Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 8 pm, we will temporarily close. While we certainly saw this coming following the sequenced closures of non-essential services across the state, we have practiced extraordinary measures to ensure our salon environment was consistently sanitized and prioritized the health and... wellness of our clients. We have made an effort to contact many of our clients scheduled in the coming days to receive their service before tomorrow's deadline. We are offering "Parking Lot Pickup" for any professional-grade retail product, such as shampoo, conditioner, and hairspray, for anyone in need of products. As a special thank you, we will take 20% off your retail product total and hand-deliver your product outside of our business (in our Parking Lot) in the lower level of the EFK Plaza, Herkimer until tomorrow, 3/21. For retail needs after 3/21, please send us a Facebook Message and we will work with you to schedule a pick-up/drop-off.
