The Sharing Shelf 30.01.2021

These Iona students are using their 3 day weekend for community service. They’ve been picking up donations in New Rochelle then delivering them to The Sharing Shelf. They created the project, connected with donors, and arranged pick up. If you live in New Rochelle, email [email protected] and we will put you in touch for a future weekend. #volunteer #peoplehelpingpeople #clothinginsecurity #thesharingshelf #communityservice Iona Preparatory School

9 years ago today, The Sharing Shelf in partnership with the Junior League of Central Westchester, launched the first major diaper distribution in Westchester County of 40,000 diapers to help infants and toddlers in FSW’s programs. We are grateful for the JLCW’s continued leadership and collaboration in meeting this critical need, particularly during these difficult times. To donate diapers to The Sharing Shelf and see our updated needs: www.sharingshelf.org. Food pantries are the front line right now, meeting the basic needs of so many struggling individuals and families. Today we filled Gretchen’s car for the Dobbs Ferry Food Pantry with more than 1,000 diapers, 70 toiletry kits, period packs, and other items. Last week, dozens of coats were distributed. These are your donations and it’s your volunteerism at work. Let’s keep it up! #strongertogether #thesharingshelf #clothinginsecurity #peoplehelpingpeople Dobbs Ferry Food Pantry Junior League of Central Westchester

We would like to thank volunteers who participated in the Regeneron for Good Initiative. Tanya Klein stopped by today with 137 hygiene kits that she assembled, each containing basic essentials like toothpaste, soap and shampoo. SNAP benefits do not cover the cost of these items. With your help, The Sharing Shelf is distributing toiletry kits to every child we serve and providing toiletries to area food pantries for their clients. You can sign up on our website: https://www.sharingshelf.org/organize-a-drive. #clothinginsecurity #thesharingshelf #peoplehelpingpeople #regeneron Regeneron
