Grace-beauty of form Jim Bergesen, Cotter Luppi, Gerald Wolfe April 24 - May 30 by appointment Three artists explore the tension between the intuitive and the cultivated. They approach the intersection between narrative, representation and abstraction. It is an opportunity to express the inexplicable, the intuitive force that is weaved into cultured processes. It communicates personal experiences physical and emotional.... Cotter‘s use of lines and color leads us into his world in a continuous and psychedelic journey. Bergesen’s large watercolors allow a form to develop into a narrative experience with emotional brushstrokes and rhythms. Wolfe brings a calm security with his use of form for form’s sake and in his grounding intuitive aesthetic is an interplay of lines and shapes. These three artists allow us a peek into the graceful intersection of abstraction and representation.
