Three Seasons Farm

New hay pillow slow feeders from haypillow.com are in use! Dieting the two heaviest horses, one significantly in need of dieting. They aren't too happy with this just yet, they get a little frustrated that they can't eat as fast as they would like. But, I think in short order they will settle in. Unfortunately we are still in serious winter temps! -10 last night, and probably will be the same for the next two or three nights, so I don't want to diet these guys too heavily, they do need to stay warm. Sometimes the feeders land in the girls' yard, and given where I find them the girls are having fun with them. Mud season will get here soon, so I'm going to add haypillow slow feeder nets in the stalls so they won't drag the pillows through the mud.

The horses are going to love this snow! The ground has been so rough, they really don't get as much exercise as they need. With a good cover of a foot or more of snow they'll be out there playing!
