It was a GRIND guys, but I still did it! This 28k has been my 1RM on and off for YEARS! So every now and then I like to randomly test it. Crazy thing is, I’m currently not doing any lifting other than my swing/push-up program and some yoga and Pilates. It’s kind of amazing what cross training can do for the body. While Covid-19 has my private personal training studio temporarily closed, I have to do my best to keep up my training regimen at home, surrounded by my three little munchkins. With being restricted to my basement but still wanting to stay on track during the holidays, I chose a program that is super efficient for time and calorie burn to do throughout the month of December. Here is the plan: 2 Exercises, performed as super sets-... Swings x20 Pushups x10 Next round would be swings x20, pushups x9, continuing down the ladder until you have 1 push-up and have completed a total of 200 swings. Perform this circuit EVERY OTHER day for the entire month. I started this on Monday, so my last day should be the day after Christmas. On off days, I plan to do either low impact cardio or other forms of functional training, even some Pilates or yoga added in. So far, this workout checks all the boxes for meit’s quick, like 12-15 min quick, my heart rate gets up and I hit a decent amount of major muscle groups. It’s also great for those with little ones at home and all you need is a kettlebell! Slightly heavier for those who are experienced in their swings.
