PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF THE LAW Congratulations, you received your carry license. Do you know when you are allowed to use deadly physical force? Do you know when you are NOT allowed to use deadly physical force? Do you know the situations, where you are not allowed to use ANY force? If you can’t answer these questions correctly, you are setting yourself up for failure. Knowing how to use force is the simplest part of the training you need to have to survive. Using force... could be martial arts techniques, defensive tactics, or a firearm. All of these force options are ruled by the same law in New York State, that law is Penal Law Article 35- Defense of Justification. Our 8-hr class is NY state certified and is uniquely presented to enable the participant to leave the class with a higher level of understanding of this seemingly confusing law than most lawyers have. This is not to say you won’t need one if you are involved in a use of force case, but knowing and acting in accordance with the law makes your legal defense a lot less problematic. The class utilizes real-world cases and examples to show how the law actually works and is court defensible in practice. In a perfect world, every person who elects to be armed would know this law backward and forward and then follow it. But, as the world is imperfect it is up to you to get the knowledge. March 30th at the Safeshoot range in Kingston, the course, Practical Application of the Law - New York State Penal Law article 35, will be presented. This class takes the penal law regarding the use of force and breaks it down so that it is easily understandable, and directly usable and easily applicable to chaotic, real-world situations. This law applies to ANY use of force in NY state; whether you use a firearm, a punch, a stick, or a vehicle against another person. If y...ou use force to protect yourself, you need to know the law and what is permitted and what will cost you all of your assets and/or your freedom. Whether or not you take the class, you will be held to the standard of the law. Level 2 Deployment at a great shooting facility, Safeshoot. Class is looking good already!

Saturday, March 9th, we are offering the level 1 deployment class at the Safeshoot facility. This is the class you take after the basic safety class and you have your gun and you are ready to shoot it. New shooters are catered to, but also people wanting to refresh their skills (or work with a different firearm).
