Calling All Creatives and Collectors! Do you have a creative talent you’d like to share with your community members? Or are you a passionate collector? If so, our library display case is the perfect space to showcase your artwork or thoughtfully curated collection. And with our COVID Welcome Desk soon to become a relic of the Pandemic Past, your work or collection will be the first thing to greet residents when they walk in the door. Here’s a taste of what’s been exhibite...d in the past: Artwork: Ceramics Jewelry Stitchery Origami Wood Carvings LEGO Creations Model Airplanes / Cars Collections: Seashells Miniatures Travel Mementos Dolls Harry Potter Memorabilia Hippos Bride and Groom Cake Toppers Lighthouses Owls Postcards Writing Instruments Vintage Lunch Boxes Seasonal / Holiday Displays The Details: Our display case contains 3 shelves, each measuring 6’ wide by 16 deep. Height clearance between shelves is 15. Display space may be reserved for one month beginning on or about the 1st of each month. You are most welcome to sell your work! The Town of Ballston Community Library is pleased to announce that we now have four Electrical Vehicle Charging stations. Made possible by grants from NYSERDA and National Grid, the new charging stations will be another service provided by the Library for our patrons and community. Just like borrowing a book, using the computer or attending a program, charging with the new stations will be free at this time. The addition of these new chargers is a continuation of our ongoing sustainability efforts which include upgrading the Library light fixtures to LED in Fall 2021 through a NYS Construction Grant.
