Total snow accumulations of 12 to 20 inches. Locally around 2 feet at elevations above 1500 feet. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Northwestern Connecticut, western Massachusetts, and Greene, Ulster, Dutchess, and Columbia Counties in eastern New York. * WHEN...through 1 PM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The snow will be dry and fluffy. Snowfall rates exceeding 2 inches per hour at times tonight into Thursday morning. Blowing and drifting snow may reduce visibilities below a quarter mile at times.
