Just an update that our staff member received two negative PCR tests! Just to be on the super safe side, they will still be completing a 7-day quarantine (as per CDC recommendations if there are no symptoms and a negative pcr test comes back after day 5 of exposure.) We will be open again Thurs regular hours. Thank you all for the kind words and support!

We’re open for in-store browsing on weekends now! 6 people at a time, masks on as always, and hand sani on tap. We’ve also added additional coffee to-go days on Monday and Wednesdays from 10-4. We’re slowly but surely getting back into gear. Stay tuned

We’ve made a site (link in bio!) where you can buy eGiftcards to use when we reopen, tote bags, books (coming soon!) and donate to our staff ~ every little bit counts right now as we plan for the coming months. We’re also planning other special virtual sales and events, and plotting how we can stay active and help organize in the community. We are grateful to you all! Stay well and keep reading....

To the Topos community, We have decided to close for the week, to allow ourselves time to process all the new information about COVID-19 and help slow the spread. It is our priority to create a safe environment for the public and our staff, and we need time to gather information and ensure we are doing so. It's clear that life as we knew it is going to change for a while, and we must all adapt, acting with courage and heartbusiness as usual seems not possible at the moment. Let's take solace in solidarity, and think first of the most vulnerable among us. Take care, and support your community and neighbors as best you can, especially under a government that is so care-less. We will post updates here as the week unfolds. Stay well <3

Tonight at 6! We are pleased to host local Ridgewood author Alyssa Bonilla reading from her new YA novel Arana & the Mother Tree. Alyssa is a recipient of a literary arts grant from the Queens Council for the Arts ~ Arana Brava is a Queens teenager whose powerful dreams awaken her to the reality of the inner world. With her spirit guide, a big black dog, Arana uncovers a mystery that has been haunting her family for generations. Copies available at the store! @ Topos Bookstore
