Here's a collection of vintage shots of NYC in the 1970s! http://www.vintag.es//50-amazing-color-photographs-of-new.
Check out this awesome artist of photography, discovered after her death. Seemed like a secret explorer who captured some beautiful shots of city life... http://upshout.com/vivian-maier/
You might be on a waiting list for a couple of years, but NYC has a super cool "Le Diner en Blanc" party in the city...awesomeness! Tis certainly a place with many adventures, don't you think?! https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=268&v=H7YO_I1x69M
The Abrons Arts Center is showing NYC related, old school silent films this summer with their Urban Drive In series! Cool beans. http://www.abronsartscenter.org//urban-drive-in-summer-201

Spring is bustin' out all over...well, ok, so it's more like a hint of spring and will hopefully stick this time (NY weather's been a little temperamental this year). Which walking tours are you excited about?! Tours of Manhattan has tours of the Lower East Side (LES- history & food tour!), Brooklyn Heights/DUMBO (ooo, the historical buildings are gorgeous & we can't wait to take you along with us), Grand Central (usually more in the fall/cooler weather), Historic Harlem, & The West Village (food tour!). We can't wait to guide you around this great city as the walking weather gets better & better...see ya real soon! :)
Throwback Thursday! Our Brooklyn Heights/DUMBO tour is a hit with our explorers, and we love it too! We can't wait for that warmer weather to kick in so we can all get out there and enjoy the beauty of this neighborhood together!
Wishing you a happy holiday season filled with joy & exploration! We look forward to seeing new & previous "explorers" in 2015 for some adventures in New York!
