Town of Bethel Pool and Park 05.07.2021

More woes to add to the season as we are still looking for lifeguards, too.

Town of Bethel Pool and Park 28.06.2021

Springtime is just around the corner -once the snow is gone and the highway department equipment moved out, we can begin cleaning up debris from storms. On May Day (May 1st), we hope to plant seeds to give our park pops of color for the summer. We do not have guidance from the NYS Dept. Of Health for operation of our facilities under COVID-19 protocols but we are planning to open again with similar rules and regulations as the 2020 season for pool and park use. Remember to practice social distancing and wear face coverings to keep our community safe.

We have begun preparing for winter at the park. The water will be turned off soon and garbage will no longer be picked up. Please bring your own hand sanitizer and take your garbage with you. Tonight, 10/29, is the last evening for the Dance-it off program under the pavilion. Soon the pavilion will be used to store equipment for protection from the winter storms.

Only a few days left to complete the 2020 Census. The Census Is Important for Kids' Well-Being Census data determines how more than $675 billion of federal money is distributed among states to fund critical state, regional, and local programs. We encourage all families to complete the 2020 census.

The pool is closed for the season. COVID-19 protocols are still in place for the park (social distancing, face coverings, hand hygiene). However, the main gate and restrooms will be closed unless there is a Parks and Recreation activity taking place. We know that when no one of authority is around, some people think that means the DOH guidelines do not have to be follow but with with our youth returning to school soon and with rising cases in the county from exposures at gathering places, we need to stay vigilant. If you are feeling sick, do not use the park and playground. Let's work together to keep our community safe! Please not that the playground and benches will no longer be sanitized daily. Bring your own hand sanitizer.
