Town of Byron

The Byron Town Board will be holding a Special Meeting via ZOOM at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021. Please see the town website at www.byronny.com for more information and the ZOOM link.

There will be a Memorial Day Service at the Byron Cemetery at 11:30 on Monday, May 31st, however, there will be no Memorial Day Parade again this year.

FYI: On Monday, May 24, 2021 Lyman Road and Beaver Meadows Road will be closed for paving. There will be LIMITED local traffic allowed.

We have an abundance of fresh and frozen grocery items to give away. Eggs, milk, cheese, meat, veggies and fruits. Pick up Thursday and Friday between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm. You can pick up for additional households. Call office for more details 585-343-6284

Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, this Sunday from 8:30 am-noon at Byron Fire Hall. Basket raffles also.

Once again we’re asking for the community’s help in finding the culprit(s) who destroyed a gate on the Westshore Trail (west side of Byron Road trail). We are pretty sure it was a side-by-side again and also that it has a lot of damage to it. If you have any information you can call the Highway Superintendent at 585-402-4717.

*************MISSING FROM BYRON************** My pup is still missing... as you know in Byron we hear gun shots all the time because of hunting season. The ...day Diesel went missing it was quiet but around night time the shooting started, Baya my oldest dog must have gotten spooked and bent the kennel door or somehow opened it (she is incredibly smart) but her and Diesel had gotten out together. They both go everywhere together, they are inseparable so when Baya came back but Diesel did not something wasn’t right. If anyone has any type of information on where he might be please please let me know. Please bring my lil man home he is fricken missed greatly... (because of a run in with a tick that the vet found on him prior he might be walking weird or dragging his hind legs. The tick paralyzed his ability to properly use his hind legs.) he goes by Diesel or we call him lil man. He’s not fond of other dogs but he loves people. He will not let anyone pick him up besides me and he’s a pain in the butt to try and get into a vehicle because he loves to play catch me if you can. Please bring my baby home. *FOUND TORTIE KITTY* - Byron, NY This beautiful tortoiseshell girl showed up on the porch of a Good Samaritan on Rte 237 on Sunday, 11/15. She was found wearing... a pink & white collar w/a bell and is not microchipped. If you know who may be missing her, please contact her kind finders @ 585-250-5198 or 585-297-0150.
