The Town of Eden Police Department and the Erie County Sheriff's Fire Investigation Unit are investigating a fatal fire that occurred at 9678 Jennings Rd., on D...ecember 29th at 3:59 p.m., in the Town of Eden. After initial investigation, fire was caused by a space heater. Eden Fire Department responded to the two story dwelling fire, which had already vented through an upper bedroom window. Firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the fire in the bedroom on their initial attack. After knocking down the flames, firefighters located the homeowner, Ronald H. Jagow, age 80 in his bedroom. The Erie County Medical Examiner's Office was contacted, and removed victim from the scene. Eden Fire requested mutual aid departments from East Eden, North Collins, Langford, Lawtons, Hamburg, Evans Center FAST team, the the Eden Emergency Squad. See more
