In honor of #VeteransDay, Hempstead Town Supervisor Don Clavin, Councilman Christopher Carini, Hempstead Town Clerk Kate Murray and TOH Receiver Jeanine C. Driscoll joined with local veterans to hoist the American and POW/MIA flags on the new flagpole at Eastover Gardens in #Wantagh. Hempstead Town Supervisor Don Clavin and the Hempstead Town Board team up with Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to provide thousands of free PPE Kits to local businesses.

Recently joined with Incorporated Village of Lynbrook Mayor Alan Beach and my Town of Hempstead colleague Councilman Anthony D'Esposito to deliver TOH PPE Kits ...to Lynbrook Village Hall. The kits, made possible through funds received by the Town of Hempstead from the federal CARES Act, will help protect village employees and residents from COVID-19 in and around Village Hall. Hempstead Town Supervisor Don Clavin, Councilman Anthony D’Esposito and Assemblywoman Missy Miller are calling upon an Oceanside Sanitary District No. 7 Commissioner to resign as a host of racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic and anti-disability social media posts attributed to him have come to light. The offensive and hateful social media posts were allegedly posted by a recently elected Sanitary District No. 7 Commissioner on his personal social media page. The Town Supervisor and Councilman, along with the Assemblywoman, are also calling upon the Sanitary District to appoint an independent investigator to conduct a thorough examination into the matter. Councilman Thomas Muscarella and I dropped a Town of Hempstead PPE kit to Louis H. Petillo, of Petillo-Petillo Accounting Services in Garden City South. The Tow...n’s program makes 6,000 PPE kits available for local businesses with items needed to keep staff and patrons safe. These PPE kits are available free of charge and are only available while supplies last, so businesses in need of these high-in-demand supplies are encouraged to apply online as soon as possible. This initiative has been made possible through funding from the federal CARES Act, which provided a $133 million grant to the Town of Hempstead to distribute economic relief grants to alleviate some of the adverse effects that have arisen due to the pandemic. Hempstead Town Supervisor Don Clavin continued the Town of Hempstead’s Small Business PPE Initiative in the Incorporated Village of Floral Park, New York this morning along with Councilman Thomas Muscarella, TOH Receiver Jeanine C. Driscoll and the members of the Floral Park Village Board.

The Town of Hempstead is fortunate to have incredible volunteer first responders who faithfully serve our many diverse communities across the township.
