We are so excited to share with you that the Town of Hermon will have our very own Summer Music Series! Music On Main Street Starting, Thursday, July 1st at 6:30pm in McBrier Park. Bring a chair or blanket to enjoy our very own talented local artists. We have 7 shows planned for the Summer of 2021. ... We MUST follow NYS COVID guidelines. We must practice social distancing. Audience members must be 6ft apart and 12 feet from the stage. Check out the Artist’s Facebook pages. Here’s our lineup: July 1st -The Bandroom Band. This is a progressive rock band who also plays jazz music. The band includes our very own Hermon native, Sadie Smith. July 8th-David Wells. He is a singer, songwriter, drummer percussionist. Check out David Wells Music on FB. July 15th - John Danis. Classic Folk and American Songbook Standards. John is no stranger to our community, he’s a retired music teacher from HDCS. John lead the marching band through these very streets for many years. He also has some Hermon history to share. Don’t miss it!!Check out John Danis Music on FB. July 29th - Lacey Rae Stoddard Peets. Lacey is an entertainer who does a great job playing the ukulele. Check out her videos on FB as she entertained many during quarantine with Ukulele That! August 5th - Cameron Hance, One Man Band. Cameron is a graduate of HDCS. You don’t want to miss this!! Cameron loves to entertain!! August 12th -String Solstice. Michael Welch and Jennifer Kessler. Michael has been a part of many north country bands such as Nortbound and Jennifer is a fiddler. Don’t miss this dynamic duo!! August 19th -Rob Larrabee. Rob is back live. He entertained us via FB Live during quarantine and is excited to be back entertaining in person. Great talent and sense of humor!! We are so excited to gather and enjoy!!! Traffic Stop Results in Drug Charges St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputies charged John C. Anson with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree ...(B Felony), 5 counts of CPCS 7th (A Misd.), Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree (Unclassified Misd.) following a traffic stop on County Route 14 in the Town of Dekalb. Anson was found to be in possession of more than 5 grams of Methamphetamine, a glassine envelope containing Oxycodone, and various pills. Anson was virtually arraigned by Judge Robinson of Waddington Town Court and released under the supervision of probation. Anson is set to appear at Dekalb Town Court at a later date. See more

As part of our One Book, One Town events our students created adoption posters for animals looking for new homes. Thanks to everyone who helped make a poster to get the word out of these animals needing a home!

The St. Lawrence County Deputies Association will be hosting an Ice Fishing Derby on February 6th, 2021. The derby is being held as a fundraiser for Sgt. Ryan ...Shelly, who was recently diagnosed with Salivary Gland Cancer. Proceeds will go to Sgt. Shelly and his family to aid his battle against cancer. The entry fee will be $20 and the derby will be open boundaries within St. Lawrence County. The deadline for sign-ups is February 3rd. There will be a lottery drawing for prizes which will be determined by the number of entries. Every person entered is eligible to win a prize (Prizes TBD). The derby will run until 5pm and the drawing will held at approximately 6pm on February 6th. Winners will be contacted by phone and posted on our Facebook page. All Public Health/CDC guidelines should be followed during the event. Any questions can be directed to Sgt. Ben Rockwood at 315-379-2761. Make sure to send us a message with a photo of all your fish!
