The Greater Manlius Chamber BUY LOCAL #ShopGreaterManlius campaign launched in November and will continue throughout December. This campaign highlights the positive impact that buying local has on our economy. Councilor Kriesel announced the campaign at the November 18th Town Board Meeting. To help support the #ShopGreaterManlius campaign, the Chamber has also created a new Facebook Group, Shopping Local in Greater Manlius. As a business you will be able to share opportunities, promotions, specials. As a shopper, you can seek recommendations, ask where to find specific items, and explore the many businesses that are in our great community. Please invite your neighbors to join this new group!

Residents enrolled in the trash and/or brush districts: Trash and recycling is on schedule this week (11/30). Brush pickup is temporarily suspended due to a serious personnel shortage at Syracuse Haulers. Many of their employees are quarantined due to COVID-19. Syracuse Haulers is hopeful brush pickup will resume in the near future. When brush pickup resumes, Syracuse Haulers will continue until all brush in the district has been collected. The final week of brush pickup is ...scheduled for December 14th, however Syracuse Haulers will work beyond that date if needed. Your patience is appreciated during these uncertain times. Town Of Manlius is aware of significant delays in trash, brush and recycling pick up for those enrolled in the trash and/or brush district, especially residents in the Fremont Area. Any temporary service interruptions by Syracuse Haulers is primarily due to a significant shortage of laborers related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Solid waste collection is an essential health and safety service and Syracuse Haulers is focusing its efforts on continuing this essential service to our municipal customers with as few disruptions as possible. For residents enrolled in the trash/brush district, please expect delays for the remainder of this week. Those with pickups normally scheduled for this Friday, if the pickups don’t occur on Friday 11/20, they will be picked up on Saturday 11/21.
