SPRING IS HERE - SIGN UP TODAY!

The Town of Moreau is still accepting applications for Lifeguards at the Sand Bar Beach in South Glens Falls for the summer. Visit www.townofmoreau.org or call 518-538-0136 to apply. The season will run from Memorial Day through Labor Day and hours can be flexible. Free certification and trainings are available locally.

Sadly, all of the snow is gone, so the Bowl sledding hill at Betar Park is now CLOSED. Park hours will be 8 AM to 4 PM until April 1st. Visitors who wish to use the Park after 4 PM May park their vehicle outside the gate and enter on foot.

Unfortunately, the ice rink at Betar Park is CLOSED. However, the Bowl sledding hill is OPEN until 8 PM today. Conditions are a little icy, so please use caution! It looks like more snow is coming tonight, so the Park will be open from 8 AM to 8 PM on Saturday and Sunday!

Moreau Rec is currently taking applications for seasonal park maintenance staff and certified lifeguards for the Sand Bar Beach. The Bowl field at Betar Park was treated for crabgrass this morning and must be CLOSED for all activities for 24 hours. The field will reopen at 8 AM on Saturday, 5/1.

The baseball and softball fields at Betar Park are CLOSED until further notice. The snow is melting quickly, but we ask for your patience as the fields thaw and dry out. Thank you!

Due to the warm weather, the Betar Park ice rink is CLOSED and the snow in the Bowl is melting quickly. The Park hours will now be 8 AM to 4 PM daily, until further notice. Visitors may park outside the Jan Avenue gate or in the Lennox Boulevard parking lot and access the park on foot before 8 AM or after 4 PM.

ATTENTION: Betar Park will be receiving it’s last fertilization treatment over the next two days. All baseball/softball field will be closed today- Thursday, November 5th. All soccer/football/lacrosse fields will be closed Friday, November 6th. All Park fields will reopen on Saturday, November 7 at 8 AM. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

REMINDER: The Winter hours for Betar Park are 8 AM to 4 PM daily. Anyone who wishes to use the Park’s trails before or after hours, may do so by parking outside of the gate and entering on foot.

Waterline installation for the new universal playground is underway! The road to the Softball Quad/Bowl at the Park will be closed for at least one day. That section of the Park can still be accessed by following the signs and going through the Legion Field parking lot. Thank you for your patience!
